West 41st Street Widening -- Sand Springs & Tulsa County, OK
Breisch & Associates was retained to provide a detailed design survey
from Highway 97 west along 41st Street one mile to 129th West Avenue.
This project was used for design of the widening of 41st Street along
with public and private utility relocation along the route.
The design survey was performed in house using Total Stations. This information
was downloaded into our AutoCAD system. Once in our computer system, survey
software was used to create cross-sections, a strip topo with 1' contours
and intersection surveys.
Base maps were also provided to the engineer showing all above and below
ground features with elevations, such as trees, curbs, utilities with
flowlines, fences, etc.
A partial section survey was also performed to assist in alignment, right-of-way
replacement and intersection alignment.
Project List
The firm provided necessary design surveying and all construction staking
needed to complete the outfall sewer to serve the west side of Skiatook.
The outfall opened up a large area for development and allowed Skiatook
to eliminate an existing lift station.
Sewer sizes and slopes were designed to meet the ultimate flow requirement.
The final project included about 13,000 linear feet of 18” pipe,
almost 1,500 linear feet of 15” pipe, three road crossings, and
forty manholes.
Project List
The firm was hired to provide surveying services as needed to construct
a new Sears building at the northeast corner of 21st Street and Yale Avenue.
We provided both horizontal and vertical control for the site. We provided
construction staking for building corners, storm sewer, sanitary sewer,
water lines, retaining walls and parking lots. We also provided services
for the adjacent Target and grocery store.

Project List
The firm was hired to provide surveying services as needed to construct
approximately 2.5 miles of the Creek Turnpike.
The firm was responsible for checking the original cross-sections to establish
the basis of quantity measurement for the earthwork. We provided the slope
staking required of construction, together with line and grade points
for the placement of drainage structures and outfall ditches. One survey
field crew has been assigned to assist Carter Excavating on an as needed
basis, which accounts for 85 percent of the crew’s time since the
work began in May of 1999.
Upon completion, we provided the final cross-sections, which will determine
the volumetrics for the final pay items on the grading work.
